RIDING CURB BIT, Whippy & Co., London, 19th/20th century
A riding curb bit with movable cheekpieces. The mouthpiece is smooth, cylindrical, and thinner in the middle. The cheekpieces are straight with eyes and hooks, as well as movable rings. At one-third of the height of the cheekpieces, there are rectangular openings allowing the mouthpiece to slide within them.
It comes from the historic equestrian collection of the Potocki family from Łańcut.
