Figurine of the actor Volange playing the role of Jeannot. A bisque figurine of a young man with common facial features, playing Jeannot, one of the characters from French boulevard farces. The actor stands in slight contrapposto and turns his head upwards with a content smile. In his right hand, he holds a lamp which he raises upwards. In the open round lamp with a lid, a candle is visible. His other hand rests on his hip and reveals a trouser pocket from which an undefined object protrudes. He is dressed in 18th-century attire: a tight-fitting caftan and knee-length trousers, with a tall cap on his head. Behind the figure, there is a pillar-shaped support. The figurine is placed in a rectangular display case with glass walls enclosed in bronze frames, with a wooden platform painted brown and decorated with classicist bronze ornaments. The bisque figurine was made in the Sèvres porcelain factory, famous for the production of bisque pottery, mainly figurines distinguished by their great artistic qualities. Its modeller was Joseph Le Riche, employed in the Sèvres porcelain factory from 1757, a master modeller from 1780. The object comes from the collection of Princess Izabela Lubomirska (1736-1816), the owner of the Łańcut Castle. Barbara Trojnar
