Pen tray The pen tray is part of a set of desk accessories, together with a match case (inventory no. S. 813 MŁ), made circa 1925 in the English ceramics factory Crown Staffordshire Porcelain Co. Ltd. The tray is in the shape of an elongated rectangle with rounded corners. On the yellow background, it is decorated with a black and gold Chinese landscape showing a Pagoda surrounded by flowers and with birds wading in the water. On the edge of the tray, there is a black stripe with a stylised golden plant motif. The desk accessory the tray is a part of was purchased in the T. Goode & Co. department store in London, which specialises in the sale of ceramics, mainly English ceramics. Barbara Trojnar
