Museum of the history of Polish Jews
Part of the collection: Zuzanna Kofta's works inspired by stories of hiding Jews
The depiction of a group of eleven people, framed by an unevenly painted dark rectangle. The figures are in a room with a window covered by a curtain (the dark line of its square frame, vertically divided into halves, is fully visible). One child is in the lower left corner, a woman in a dark dress with a lighter skirt with dark vertical stripes is leaning over him. Along the bottom edge there is a man lying on his side covered with a light blanket with darker diagonal stripes. A child at a table (visible from the left), a man standing on the right, wearing a checked jumper, slightly bent over are also visible. To the left of the window, there is a small grey rectangle of a picture on the wall, probably depicting a mountain landscape. This is an image of eleven Jews crammed into one room, who were hidden in the house of the Ciszewski family in Stanisławów.
