Castle Museum in Łańcut
Part of the collection: Lampy, żyrandole i kinkiety
A bronze, 3-candle, hot-gilded sconce in the classicistic style. Large metal bobèches with cups for wax candles are attached to the backs of the sconce’s arms. The arms, i.e. the bottoms of the bobèches, are decorated with stylised acanthus leaves. The sconce dates back to the 19th century. It was acquired from the Potocki family of Łańcut in 1944 upon the nationalisation of the museum.
