Part of the collection: Memorabilia of Emilia Leibel née Grossbart
The pass for an employee of the District Food Combine. The documentis in a cover, pasted on the inside of the cover. Template print is with handwritten additions and a round stamp. For Emilia Leibel, working in a factory producing malt extract (maltose) was not only a happy alternative to the devastating work in the forest (which her husband, as it turned out, did not survive). Also because the Russian factory workers also smuggled in rations of the calorific extract for her.Leibel's next job proved similarly fortunate. She was sent to work in a mill, from where she returned every Saturday with a bag of priceless flour.
