Part of the collection: Correspondence from Emilia Endler Ratz
The letter on two cards from Halina Altman. From the contents: We are sitting in the same place where the end of the war found us. We are slowly getting used to peace. And this is not easy at all. Especially for us in the army, the way of life has changed completely, we have moved from fighting to studying, which is very strenuous. I myself have recently experienced a kind of mental crisis, also partly connected with the end of the war. Simply, all the tiredness and exhaustion came to the surface, in the form of a mental weakness. [Roma is already in civilian life. She lives in Warsaw with Mietek Popiel and works in her profession. Niura is still here, but she is also making efforts to move to industry. The same goes for Tolek.
