Part of the collection: Ceramics
Faience basin covered with cream glaze, semicircular, with a short collar. It is decorated with the motif of leafy rhododendron twigs with flowers and buds, appearing partly in the relief on the outer side of the vessel. At four intersection points, there is a symmetrical composition of grasses and buds enclosed by six leaves, partly marked by lilac printing. The printed plant pattern was hand-painted in places of flowers. The vessel due to the cracked neck is enclosed with a wire braid. England, Shelton, 2nd half of the nineteenth century.
