Description:
Situated at the former road in the northern part of the park, outside the moat, the Small Castle, which eventually had neo-Gothic (in a romantic spirit) façades, was erected for Princess Izabela Lubomirska née Czartoryska (1736-1816), in 1795-1802, and then rebuilt in 1806 by Chrystian Piotr Aigner with the stucco artist Frederick Baumann. A characteristic element of the castle's architecture is a three-storey, strongly protruding tower in the northeast corner, initially only a two-storey tower. After 1821, due to the placing of the estate administration in it, the castle was partially rebuilt.
The Staircase (originally it was an open gallery, then changed around 1815 into an orangery passage supported by pillars between which large windows were inserted - after 1821, the passages between the pillars were walled up), built only during the works in 1966-1968 with a single-flight staircase between the ground floor and the 1st floor is situated in the south-west part of the building. Along the 1st floor landing, there are three in the western wall and one in the southern wall – wide, multi-unit porte-fenêtre with a view of the castle and the park. All walls are decorated with an illusionistic painting, imitating a wall made of stone blocks overgrown with bindweeds, vine, and ivy. A ceiling with an illusionistic decoration of a wooden pergola covered with vine shoots above which the sky is visible. A double inlaid door leads from the Staircase to the Hall with an alcove.
