A decorative plate A decorative plate, of fairly thick white porcelain, in the shape of a flat shell. It was made in an English unspecified ceramics workshop. It is covered with artistic decoration in the form of fan-shaped slats with bark texture, with cavities imitating knot holes, fastened at the bottom of the plate with artistic oak twigs painted in pink. They form the handle of the plate. Its edge is bordered with a gold stripe. The design of the plate was registered with the Patent Office in 1875 (the bottom bears the mark of the Patent Register printed in black and the coded date).
