Part of the collection: Photographs from the collection of Halina Kamińska (Mamelok) née Baruch
The photograph of Franciszka nee Mamelocks with her child in an ornamental blanket, standing in a room with a white-tiled cooker. Franciszka is dressed in a dark skirt with a slit at the bottom and a white blouse with dots. Unfortunately, we do not know whether the child, described by Halina née Baruch as Krysia (a reading which is not entirely sure), was the daughter of Józef Mamelok's sister. We do not know much about this woman. It can be assumed that she lived in Warsaw in 1910. It seems that then she used the surname Mamelok (see the note to the photograph in MPOLIN-A25.1.53). | PK
