Rose garden. 1930s. The photograph depicts the rose garden at the southern façade of the Orangery, established during upgrade works conducted at the Łańcut residence between the 19th and the 20th centuries by the third ordinary of Łańcut, Roman Potocki, and his wife Elżbieta nee Radziwiłł. The garden, arranged geometrically, has a fountain in the centre, with narrow grass fields and rose beds, among which on tall pillars stand marble vases shaped as chalices. In the northern grass field along the moat, analogous marble vases are arranged regularly. In the centre, there is an open work wooden pergola, in front of which there is a full body sculpture and sarcophagus as a jardinere. Aldona Cholewianka-Kruszyńska
