Part of the collection: Ceramics
Faience basin covered with a cream shade glaze, semicircular, with a short collar with a cut edge (14 cloves). It is decorated with the motif of leafy rhododendron twigs with flowers and buds, appearing partly in the relief on the outer side of the vessel. At four intersection points, there is a symmetrical composition of grasses and buds enclosed by six leaves, partly marked by lilac printing. The inside of the basin is decorated with large branches with flowers and buds. The printed plant pattern was hand-painted in place of flowers. England, Shelton, 2nd half of the nineteenth century.
