Soap dish with strainer

Part of the collection: Ceramics

Popularization note

Round soap dish with a slightly fluted spout turned outwards, on a round foot, creamy. Decorated from the outside with sunflower branches- three larger and two smaller- with a gilded spout. The insert is the same shape as the soap dish. The vessel has a round opening in the middle and smaller holes around it for water drainage. The soap dish is decorated with sunflower branches and a gilded line on the edge. At the bottom of the soap dish there is an impression with the number: "Rd No 92160", "0", "7", a handwritten inscription in brown paint: "9342", and in blue varnish "S.9230 MŁ". England, late nineteenth century.
