A collection of works of European painting and sculpture from the 19th and 1st half of the Of the twentieth century, includes, among others landscape painting of the Romantic era, bourgeois and Biedermaier portrait, the Düsseldorf and Warsaw landscape school, genre and realistic painting, historical and battle painting, academic and realistic painting. The most numerous and valuable group in the group are the works of modernist artists: L. Corinth, L. de Laveaux, K. Krzyżanowski, J. Malczewski, W. Tetmajer, J Mehoffer and M. Slevogt. A separate group consists of: symbolic and expressive sculpture, impressionistic, fauvist and cubist painting compositions, portrait sculptures, the so-called new classicism, marine painting, to the works of the extreme avant-garde (W. Strzemiński, H. Stażewski) and the Krakow Group (M. Jarema, J. Stern). A unique collection - representation of the works of the most important artists of their time.
